Strength Through Self Reliance

Center-pivot irrigation (also called central pivot irrigation), is a method of crop irrigation in which equipment rotates around a pivot and crops are watered with sprinklers. A circular area centered on the pivot is irrigated, often creating a circular pattern in crops when viewed from above. Most Center pivots were initially water-powered, however, today most are propelled by electric motors. These Center-pivot irrigation systems are beneficial due to their ability to efficiently use water and optimize a farm's yield. The systems are highly effective on large land fields. Center Pivot Irrigation is a Game-Changer to meet the crop water requirement efficiently. This system allows for precise water application, evenly distributing water across the field, and minimizing water loss through evaporation or runoff. Pakistan’s focus on food security through agricultural reform has given an opportunity to HIT for contribute towards National Cause by offering its services to manufacture Central Pivot Irrigation System (CPIS). 1st indigenously developed system has been installed at Bahawalpur and irrigating a land of 50 acres. HIT is presently undertaking mass production of 50 x CPIS to fulfil modern and cooperate agro requirements. These systems are configured with a variety of span lengths, overhang combinations, and multiple sprinkler packages. The system is all-galvanized so to have long life span like 15-20 years. The systems are being designed under Quality assurance and Quality Control teams with fully stage process documentations and improvement actions. 90% of the components are being indigenously manufactured while few essential items are being imported like motors and gear boxes which are also being indigenously developed.

Newly installed pivot in operation at Chappu. out of 6 new installation, two have been made functional while remaining have been erected and are undergoing essential process like electrical link ups, flushing, sprinkler adjustment, drive calibration (forward and backward).
