About Margalla Training Institute

  • Margalla technical institute was established in 1982.

  • Initial mission was to train new inductees (un-skilled workers).

  • Name of Margalla Technical Institute was changed to MargallaTraining Institute (MTI) in 1992.

  • Need of centralized training facility was felt due to addition of new facilities established in early nineties.

  • Make them productive on shop floor (P-711 for rebuild of T-series tanks) after undergoing one year comprehensive training.

  • MTI is affiliated with technical education and vocational training authority (TEVTA) & Punjab Board of Technical education (PBTE) Lahore for six month, 1 & 2 years duration technical courses.

  • This Institute has been playing the vital role in Human Resource Development. Its regular training programs are designed to meet HIT training requirements for following Levels of employment.

MTI Mission

MTI is committed to provide Quality Technical Education to: Officers, Staff and Workers of HIT in order to groom them to shoulder their responsibilities in an efficient & effective manner. MTI will extend its facilities to other Public Sector & Private Sector organizations.Arrange / co-ordinate training and skills development of HIT employees

Facilities

Institute is spread over an area of 10 acres. It has admin block, lecture blocks, basic shop, CNC shop, Electrical and Electronics shops, Computer Labs, Canteen, Examination Hall and Auditorium.
